Derby is in the Creston Valley! The Black Eyed Cherries are proudly the first women’s flat track roller derby team in the Creston area. Established April 30^th 2012. BEC is a non‐profit organization committed to building upon our athletic foundation, while focusing on community and service.

Our league EKRDL (east kootenay roller derby league) is governed by the Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby Association (WFTDA). By adhering to WFTDA rules and standards, BEC is positioned for international inter‐league competition.

BEC aims to spread the excitement of roller derby throughout the Creston Valley. Our league provides unique sports entertainment to the area, as well as athletic opportunity for Creston Valley women.

Additionally, our team will proudly contribute to the community by offering our support to local organizations and charities. Our team will provide community outreach through events, activities, and charity sponsorship.
